Mock Turtle! Get it? it's an Alice in Wonderland referance!

I slept in really late today, so I'm having trouble sleeping again. I knew I should have gotten up when the alarm clock went off the first time, but I thought to myself "I'm off today, and this bed feels really good, so to heck with it!" First time I've gotten to sleep in till I wanted to for weeks.

Today several things happened. I went to Wal-mart this afternoon and bought way too much stuff. Found some really cute and cheap beads, a nice new shirt, and bought groceries to make stuffed meatloaf for dinner tonight. It didn't really go as planned, I got distracted AS USUAL in Wal-mart by all the shiny things I wanted. So I was running late, and I almost missed Haley leaving the house. I need to get her a new key so she can get inside when things like this happen. Hell, I should have done that at Wal-mart!

She and I had a drink or two while I sauteed the onions, celery, and mushrooms. Them I mixed that with chopped spinach and mozzarella cheese. Instead of making a loaf of the meatloaf mix (however you like to make yours) you just spread it out in a flat rectangle and put the spinach mix lumped up along one end of the rectangle. Then you roll up the meatloaf over the spinach mix and shape it much like a Swiss roll. Pinch the ends to seal it all in, cook on 350 for about an hour, and SHAZZAM you got the best thing EVAR. I was gonna do homemade mashed potatoes, but I was behind schedule and I had already gotten green beans and croissants as sides too, so that was plenty of food. It was freaking awesome.

Halfway through cooking dinner, Aaron called and said he was gonna be late. I asked him what was wrong and he said he was gonna go with his mom to the hospital. My heart jumped, because I worry about her a lot, she just beat cancer off with her big stick of fortitude, and is currently battling diabetes complications. They told her earlier this week that she can't have gluten anymore, and I don't know if you're aware, but its in EVERYTHING. So she keeps sending us all of her evil gluten and sugar filled groceries. lol

The reason she had to go to the hospital was, some guy in a freaking tow truck ran a red light and she hit him, which is pretty lucky cause if he had hit her in that huge thing she might not have been quite so lucky. It completely totaled her car, but she got away with just some bruises and a painful injury to her wrist. I was so relieved to hear that she is okay. Aaron might not show it but he worries about her a lot. He loves his mother.

Haley and I talked for a long time tonight, and I love that. We talk so much more now than we used to, and I feel like these talks are more personal and meaningful than ever. That makes me feel good that we are closer. I love that woman. We also talked about thing less personal, like her joining that new guild, Bastion of Light. I think she will really like it. She is excited to get to do some bigger group stuff, but she hasn't been able to decide which character to take to the guild. I hope that this gives her the lotro revival she has been looking for.

After she left, I did some laundry and logged in myself to the game. I wanted to get some epic quests done for my lore-master so that I can get and use cosmetic pets, like the turtle. I spend over an hour with Aaron trying to get these quests done. We could not finish the last quest, and we tried it several times. It is an escort mission that is timed, and we always ended up a few seconds short of the finish line. I got so frustrated that I put in a CS ticket right about the time Aaron went to bed. Within minutes, a dev  IMed me. He asked me to clarify the situation and then as he watched me from his magic dev control whatevertheyuse, I attempted the quest again. When I came up about 6 seconds short, he said that unfortunately he could not hit a magic button to fix the quest, or advance me without completing that quest, he would put in a report about it suggesting the quest timer be raised. He was a very nice guy. I told him that I was determined to get it, and that I was gonna keep trying till I did. He suggested getting someone to escort me as well, eliminating enemies that might attack me on the way, and I told him that my fiance already did that and we still failed. The dev apologized and seemed genuinely concerned about my plight. He told me again he would report it, and we went our separate ways. I attempted the ques one last time before bed, and sure enough, just as my luck would have it, I completed the quest with literally one second to spare. HAHA So I got my turtle, and also got a bunny, and I already had the squirrel. YAY I named the turtle Mock. the bunny WhiteRabbit, and the squirrel is DangerSquirrel.
Inside joke! Ask Haley. lol

Oh and the day before yesterday Aaron, Yaya, and I walked 3 miles down the Wolf River - Kennedy Park nature trail. It's so pretty this time of year. Things are just starting to grow because of the sorta/kinda off and on winter we have had this year. And there are no bugs yet! I did find one tick on me, but you gotta expect that sorta thing in the woods! It was a lot of fun and Yaya came home and flopped down on the couch and slept for most of the afternoon. She got really hot for a while out there, but she just gets so excited the first few times we go out after winter. She hates the cold, and wont go to the park with me until its warm enough. Well I mean she goes but she always wants back in the car within a few minutes.lol She's just not built for the cold. It just made me so happy to see her so excited.
I love that dog. She always brings light to my day.

Feeling accomplished, I am off to bed.
I must work in the morn.

I always feel so good after a workout

(Passion Pit is awesome to workout to!)

Hell, Ive forgotten how good the after feeling is, I've let it go for so long. 5 minutes of stretching, then 20 minutes of dancing with gentle toning movements for my arms and legs, Then 10 minutes of reps for my butt, back, arms and legs. Then 5 miles on the bike to really get the heart rate going. Today I went a half a mile longer. Then I walk some if it off, and stretch again. MAN do I feel good now. Before I started it felt like an old diesel engine getting started up, and I almost NEVER want to work out. But I make myself get up, put on a headset of loud fast music, and slowly start stretching. I close my eyes and imagine being on the dancefloor at a club with my friends. It puts me in one of those euphoric moods, and makes it easier to get into the mood to move lol

I had a workout buddy today! She wasn't very motivational though lol Yaya sat the whole time next to the bike like, WTH is she doing?!?!? STOP IT AND PLAY WITH ME!!!

I've also gotten myself out of the habit of writing again, and I finally accept that my general daily attitudes come in phases. Some days I let life get to me, and regularly wallow in my own self pity for a while. Then after my "girl time" usually, I hit a high peak again, and I'm back on track. Now, I happen to be back on my track of good thoughts and motivation. Realizing this about myself made this last bad phase easier to motivate myself. I just have to always keep in mind, good or bad mood, that i can do this... whatever it is. I have been through worse, and noone can beat me down but ME.

I can do this. I WILL do this, for ME.<3

Random Images GALORE!

Ok so recently, I've admitted to a little bit of slacking. I have also been taking lots of pictures!
Like these that I just took right now!
One night we were playing with Sonny and she was so excited so wouldn't sit still for the pictures, and ended up looking like a tribble in this one.
I had to post this one of Aaron passed out in the chair.
I think he's adorable.
It actually is quite a popular chair.
Here is one of my dean's list certificates.
Here's all of my books for the last few terms.
Aaron also got me a music theory book so I can finally learn sheet music!
Even still we stick to our ghetto/redneck ways.
Good example : my new porch light
/sigh
Someone please come rewire my house for me.
But at least we keep a good sense of humor about it all!
Aaron's cell phone is SO much cooler than mine.
lol

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

To all of those whom I love, I hope you have a happy, safe and wonderful New Year! I shall be sitting in my computer room, drinking myself under the desk. This is last era of Dan K., IF you know what I mean. I have to change it all; make it clean so thatI can have the life I want. Life has changed so much for me already, just in the last 2 years. Some things are the same, and many more are not. I am madly in love with a man that drives me stark raving mad, and I love every moment of it. My demon dog Yaya is thankfully happy and healthy. MY relationship with my family is so much better than in the past. Things dont change much there, but my ability to handle it has changed dramatically. My father is the most sober than he's ever been, and close to going to rehab to get even more help. School is amazing. I've learned so much, and have so much more to learn. I hope that all of the work Ive been putting into this pays off for us.

Things aren't all great. Aunt Barbara isn't doing so well right now. The whole cancer ordeal has really gotten to her health, and she just seems defeated already. I cry every time I talk about this. I can't imagine her not being there. Grandmother either. She is like the rock of our family, and I cant even think about what it'll be like. I don't want to deal with it, but I know I have to face it just like everything else.

Overall, this has been one of the best years I can remember. And we are still well on our way up.

Happy Holidays!!!

I do realize that it has been over half a month since I last wrote anything. To say the least, I have been very busy. School, family, home, work, and of course the holidays have kept me running. I just wanted to pop in and share some of the images from the digicam.

We did Aaron's 2 Christmas visits yesterday. His dad's family had theirs at 11am out in midtown. Aaron;s cousins live there and they have a very nice house, and 4 greats kids. They are all very sweet and like talking with me and Aaron. Last year we helped them build a rocket in the front yard, and this year we all sat and talked alot. We also watched some funny animal videos on youtube with them. They are very smart, extremely respectful, and have a ton of common sense. They have great parents. I can only hope that we have children half that sweet.

We ate like pigs, and then opened gifts. We got his dad a bunch of movies he really wanted. Aaron's dad got him some clothes, and a autographed book that he really liked about Dick Vitale. He got me (!!!)Season 3 of The Venture Brothers(!!!) haha

Then we went to his mom's house. She was alone for Christmas, except for the dogs. She was happy to have us over, and had even cooked a big ham and all the fixin's. So we ate again, and opened gifts. We got her movies that she wanted, including Harry Potter! lol She got us socks. no lie! and I loved them!!! She also got Aaron some clothes, and $100. She got me a freaking sweet 10 cup food processor. I'm gonna be able to make awesome salads with this thing.

Then tonight I went to my family's Christmas. Barbara had chemo yesterday, so she wasn't feeling well. I love her so much, and I want to see her happy again. She did smile when she hugged me; she seemed happy I was there. I felt bad that I didn't have a gift to give for the secret santa thing, but she made it all better. She literally put a coffee cup in a bag and handed it to me. It was so freaking funny. And sad that I didn't remember to get one. I felt bad. It's always my family I end up looking bad in front of. It drives me mad. f course,my grandafther counldn't letme visit without a lecture about being a pothead loser. But overall, it was ok. I got to talkto uncleKEn for a while, and my aunt Lisa was in a good mood. Grandmother and Pa aren't doing so well these days. I wish I had more time to hang out with them right now.

When I got home tonight, I found the batteries that I bought like a week ago for the camera. (and I finally found the camera) I hooked it all up and realized there are pictures still on here from back in August when Aaron, Yaya, and myself took a trip out to Richardson Landing in Tipton County to have a picnic on the river. It was flooded and overgrown, and we couldn't make it down to the riverbank to have the picnic, so we plopped down right in the parking lot of the landing and ate.
I also got a video of her panting, and she is so intent on catching every smell in the wind she cannot be stopped, even by the need to breathe!!! I love this dog.

I want to do this to my hair

But with different colors.
Maybe I'll stay with my natural brown and do the black underneath.
Or possibly a red, WHO KNOWS?
I haven't quite made up my mind yet.

After getting off on Saturday night, I was exhausted.
I slept like the DEAD.

Today I was off, so Aaron and I made pancakes and sausage for breakfast. Then I rearranged the side living room AGAIN now that Donny is all moved in. (did I mention that before? okay well if i didn't, Richard's buddy Donny moved into Ian's old room this weekend.) It's just until he gets his own apartment. He is separating from his wife, so he needed a layover spot I suppose. Im just happy to pay less rent. Between his job and their little girl, he won't be here often, he "really just needs a place to store his stuff," he says. He seems like a nice guy, he makes a good wage at a local dairy doing deliveries. At least I know up front that he will be able to cover his rent, but we shall see where this adventure leads us.

Oh and I spoke to the landlady. She says she won't sell the house out from under us, thatshe willlet us know "well in advance." I'm sure that could mean anything. I'm really afraid this is gonna be bad, but I'm going to keep my cool about it. I think moving out of this place and getting something else would be nice, but COME ON you can't beat $175 a month. And God knows, we need it be cheap while I'm still in school.

The dogs, Yaya and Sunny, are getting along much better recently. They are almost playing with each other! Right now, they are kind of stuck on the playing around each other phase. Yaya I think has gotten used to Sunny barking alot when she's excited. At first Yaya's ears would just go straight back, and her tail would drop, and she'd look at me like "WHY IS SHE BARKING?!?!?" She does that less now, and Sunny doesn't attack Yaya when she growls while playing. She will still sort of nip at her, but not hurt her. They haven't figured out how to share toys yet though. That one I think will take a while. Maybe I could get them to play tug of war with a long rope. It's worth a try.

I work and go to school tomorrow and Tuesday.
I should be off Wednesday, but I dont know for sure yet.

HAPPY INDEPENDANCE DAY!!!

Well, I finally mustered up the drive to cancel the Facebook and Myspace accounts. No one ever talks!!! AND I HATE those apps. I'm tired of keeping up with them. If you don't know where to find me by now, well tough titties.

Im pissed about work right now. They tried to make me work a double today, and I told them at the beginning of the week I couldn't. I had them take half of the day off the schedule TWICE this week, and Morgan just puts it back up there. I have tried to explain why I cant work this morning, and he doesn't care anyways, so I'm not going into it again. I'm just going to try to get out of his way. Hopefully Ill have a job in the end.

I just wanted to share some pics with you before I head out.

here is Yaya watching our new HUGE tv
and a pic of the warped chili pepper out onthe plant

cool huh?

I gotta run. I already have to rush back here tonight to work a shift I told them I couldnt work.

I had to share this one

Aaron's mom had to go out of town, so he's been going out to take care of Lucy and Maggie. Lucy hasn't been doing too great recently, so Aaron stayed out there last night to keep an eye on her. And poor Yaya didnt take his not coming home last night very well at all.

This was taken a little while after he was supposed to be home.
"If I stare at door, he will come home..."
She sat there for about an hour. lol
And every time a car drove by, she lifted her head.
Every time a car door would close she'd get up and look out the window.
She woke me up at like 4am barking cause she thought the neighbor,
who gets up at that time every morning and warms up his truck,
was Aaron, and she just darted up and started barking
and wagging her tail all happy screaming
"We're upstairs! We're up here!!!"
She was so disapointed that it wasnt him.
I love that demon dog.

YAWN

My song for this morning.

Well my boss called and gave me the day off, AGAIN. Not that I really am angry about it, but money is tight as usual, and our business has been slow at work. SO, what am I going to do with my day? CLEAN MY NEW BATH TUB!!! And take the longest, hottest shower in history. Well at least until our pathetic 40 gallon water heater gives out lol. Im SO HAPPY to have our own shower back!!! Sharing a tub with 4 other people isnt fun at all. Especially when they dont clean up after themselves.

We have done SO MUCH work to the back yard. Heres some pics and vids of Aaron up on the roof getting everything off the top of theback porch.

It already looks SO much better out there.

And Yaya had a blast in the back yard. Im sure she will love it once its fenced in.

Aaron took these in front of the house the day it snowed.

I took this one.

I can't even remember when it snowed like that. It was short, but it was awsome and beautiful.
But Yaya didn't like it.

haha
