I have many things to share today

I started working at Gregory-Salisbury Power Products Inc. with Aaron and Richard. Its an office job, so I do paper work and answer the phones, and do work orders, and P/O and S/O, and shipping and receiving, and bank deposits, and payroll attendance or time cards, and whatever Gail hands me to do. lol I like it, its a good job until I get myself situated in a pharmacy job. And its more hours and more pay
than what I got at McAlister's.
YAY!

I never made it to the bathroom with the camera that day,
I couldn't leave the phones unattended.
It had absolutely NOTHING to do with being afraid
to go down that creepy hallway!!!
So I stayed and worked on purchase orders
till it was time to clock out.

OH and great news.... I got a new soldering pen!!!

I started on this kick because I really want to start working with metals. And our little visit to the Memphis Metal Museum only made the desire worse. A museum employee told me that if I had some metal pieces that she would give me a consignment job to sell those items in her gift shop there. She really liked the wire wrapped rings that I have been making, and said if I brought them to her she'd put them up for sale!!! So I make the stuff they sell it for me at a 60/40 split. So I went Home Depot crazy tonight. I got new needle nose pliers, some packing tape to use in my crystal resin bevels, some grips for my soldering pieces, some solder and some flux, new metal files, a metal yard stick, an exact-o knife and some new razor blades, some bits and pieces of metal to solder to stuff, and a new adjustable lamp that totally didn't freaking work. So now I have to go BACK to Home Depot to return it and completely RESIST buying anything else that I wanted, put in the basket, and then put back on the shelf in financial frustration. lol Cause I TOTALLY could have bought more. I need several things from the craft store that I don't yet have.

I'm sewing again too. I made this a few weeks ago.

I am also looking for ANYTHING that I can use to hang necklaces from. An old wire shelf, a DVD rack, an old coat rack, ANYTHING!!! I am running out of places to put necklaces, and I'm seriously considering moving to a packet system where after the item is created, tagged and uploaded to the site, it gets bagged and placed in a bin numerically. It has just become too much to keep them on display at all times. Even if I found some new racks I got nowhere to put them up in the storage area. I'm completely out of room.

Yesterday Aaron and I redid the fish tank.
The fish seem really happy.
I wish I could move them right next to my crafting station,
the sound of the water running is so relaxing.

I also have been toying with hair accessories lately. My buddy Misty came down to visit, and she told me that she might be able to get me a domain for free so that I can host an actual website for my sales. I'd have to spend a little money to have credit card purchasing for my site, but I think it would be worth it in the end. IF I do that, I'd probably change the name of the site to something that includes all accessories and any sewing items I make, so something similar to "Jenny's Gifts," or "River Rock Designs," etc. I'll have to think about an expanded name idea for my creations. Any suggestions?

(Aaron bought this for me at Spin Street.
Isn't he just the greatest?)

paper beads and more

I didnt realize how long it had been since I posted last. I AM SLACKIN. lol Well, it has been a pretty insane month, but I'm excited about the new term starting up in a week. It will be my LAST TERM hopefully. If I don't screw it up. lol I only have one class scheduled; it is a refresher for the state board exam, and it will be pretty tough.

On a much lighter note, I have been making TONS of stuff! Mostly paper beads made from colorful glossy ads in magazines, or from newpaper articles. The cool part is, you can still see alot of the letters and words from the articles they were written from. Some of the beads I made the other night say "debt-ceiling" on them. I totally didn't plan it that way. It made me laugh!

Here's all my supplies all ready to make some pretty beads!

Here's some of the finished beads on their little drying pedestal.

This is a variety of beads I've made over the last two nights.

I will be making more of them soon. I need some more general colors like green, and black and brown. I will also post pics soon of some of the bracelets I've made from these. I want to make a cool necklace out of the newspaper ones for myself! :p

Ok I have to open in the morning, so I am off to bed!
Have a great night!

the heat is on

This song still rocks, after all of these years. Weird freakin video though, I will admit that. Just don't watch the video, and turn the song up loud. Its not even the whole song. OH well, try to enjoy it anyways. I know I do!

I'm up too late again. Just finished reviewing Chemistry homework before it tries to escape my brain. So i decided to play my little facebook games. MAN are those things addictive.

It's been a while, so I can try to sum up. On the 30th we are going to Aaron's family reunion in Hot Springs. IM SO NERVOUS lol His family is really nice, but I'm still nervous.

I've been really tied up in school this semester. Chem is kicking my ass. I'm taking tutoring for this one. So I haven't played Lotro alot. I did get some Summer Fest action though.

I'm having surgery on my mouth when I get back from the reunion. It's gonna suck, but I'll feel so much better. I'm gonna try to do this between the terms during my break, so I wont be around then either. lol

IT never stops.

business hours are over

This is probably overdone a little bit,
but it always makes me laugh.
Currently playing on JennyRadio:

So today I almost broke my toe, tripping on a dog toy
and slamming it into a table edge,
taking off a chunk O Jenny in the process.
Shoes are going to be my bane for the next few days.

I don't post them often but I wanted to share
some of my favorite screen shots
from our little world in LOTRO.
This is Aaron's dwarf Kwali, who is also a rune-keeper.
He has the most expressive face. I love him!

This is my elf Nalshara, who is a lore-master.
(Arahslan spelled backwards! ah ha!!!)
Also in this pic is her pet, Quoth, the Raven.
(I totally stole that name from Haley)

Here she is with her new bear. I haven't named him yet.
Anyone wanna name him?

This is our two hunters, Verain the hobbit and Maethur THE MAN.

Here is Maladhros the champion (Aaron) on the left, Ahryslan the minstrel (me) in the middle
and Edheriel the hunter (Haley) on the right.

Here is Maethur again with my guardian, Arahwen.
He loves that pirate costume so I got me an eye patch too lol

This is all from the last year or so of playing, and finally went through all of the pictures. Aaron has some good ones too, maybe I can convince him to post them on his blog. His pc is better than mine so his graphics are maxed out I think, and the images look so much nicer.

Im off to pass out.

A thought.

Recently, someone pointed out to me that in every post that I make, the music for that post is always at the bottom. It was also pointed out that if I put it at the top, that people would get to "experience a day in the life of a Jenny the right way." I tend to agree. So here we go.

Now playing on JennyRadio:
(it's a lazy kind of afternoon)

Thank you everyone all of the birthday wishes. It made me feel really good to know that my friends are still behind me. I'm one of those people who needs to hear it from time to time. Tomorrow the new semester starts and I'm taking all of what's happened in the last few years as a good omen to continue on my path to a better future. Money as usual is tight, so Aaron and I didn't do anything extravagant for my birthday like we had planned. I had wanted to go to BlueFin downtown for dinner, but it is expensive. So we just closeted ourselves away from the world, and spent the day together. He and I are always so tired when we get home, we don't always get to take advantage of the hour or few that we do get to see each other a day. My birthday was a different story. I didn't get out of the bed until almost noon. lol It was nice. Don't I look relaxed?

I did a little shopping with Michelle on Saturday, and i got the cutest sleeveless sundress, and 3 pairs of flip flops for like 6 bucks. WOO flip flops! Then yesterday I'm on my wayhome from work and I see that the Rite Aid close to McAlister's is closing and they have the ENTIRE store at 50% off!!! SO I wander in there and find some REAL deals. I won't go into detail, but I will say that I love nail polish! and at 50 cents a bottle, I stocked up!

Im also off today! We haven't been getting alot of hours, and Ive been taking FULL advantage of the situation. My camera is old and dying from the many times I've injured it by dropping it on the ground. But it does still take awesome pictures. Here's one of the rain yesterday off my back porch.

Yes I know my yard looks like a small forest.

I also wanted to share some of the pics I took from the last day of class last semester.
I love all of these people!

Btw, you gotta LOVE Christina's face in the back. I love that girl.

Random Images GALORE!

Ok so recently, I've admitted to a little bit of slacking. I have also been taking lots of pictures!
Like these that I just took right now!
One night we were playing with Sonny and she was so excited so wouldn't sit still for the pictures, and ended up looking like a tribble in this one.
I had to post this one of Aaron passed out in the chair.
I think he's adorable.
It actually is quite a popular chair.
Here is one of my dean's list certificates.
Here's all of my books for the last few terms.
Aaron also got me a music theory book so I can finally learn sheet music!
Even still we stick to our ghetto/redneck ways.
Good example : my new porch light
/sigh
Someone please come rewire my house for me.
But at least we keep a good sense of humor about it all!
Aaron's cell phone is SO much cooler than mine.
lol

Happy Holidays!!!

I do realize that it has been over half a month since I last wrote anything. To say the least, I have been very busy. School, family, home, work, and of course the holidays have kept me running. I just wanted to pop in and share some of the images from the digicam.

We did Aaron's 2 Christmas visits yesterday. His dad's family had theirs at 11am out in midtown. Aaron;s cousins live there and they have a very nice house, and 4 greats kids. They are all very sweet and like talking with me and Aaron. Last year we helped them build a rocket in the front yard, and this year we all sat and talked alot. We also watched some funny animal videos on youtube with them. They are very smart, extremely respectful, and have a ton of common sense. They have great parents. I can only hope that we have children half that sweet.

We ate like pigs, and then opened gifts. We got his dad a bunch of movies he really wanted. Aaron's dad got him some clothes, and a autographed book that he really liked about Dick Vitale. He got me (!!!)Season 3 of The Venture Brothers(!!!) haha

Then we went to his mom's house. She was alone for Christmas, except for the dogs. She was happy to have us over, and had even cooked a big ham and all the fixin's. So we ate again, and opened gifts. We got her movies that she wanted, including Harry Potter! lol She got us socks. no lie! and I loved them!!! She also got Aaron some clothes, and $100. She got me a freaking sweet 10 cup food processor. I'm gonna be able to make awesome salads with this thing.

Then tonight I went to my family's Christmas. Barbara had chemo yesterday, so she wasn't feeling well. I love her so much, and I want to see her happy again. She did smile when she hugged me; she seemed happy I was there. I felt bad that I didn't have a gift to give for the secret santa thing, but she made it all better. She literally put a coffee cup in a bag and handed it to me. It was so freaking funny. And sad that I didn't remember to get one. I felt bad. It's always my family I end up looking bad in front of. It drives me mad. f course,my grandafther counldn't letme visit without a lecture about being a pothead loser. But overall, it was ok. I got to talkto uncleKEn for a while, and my aunt Lisa was in a good mood. Grandmother and Pa aren't doing so well these days. I wish I had more time to hang out with them right now.

When I got home tonight, I found the batteries that I bought like a week ago for the camera. (and I finally found the camera) I hooked it all up and realized there are pictures still on here from back in August when Aaron, Yaya, and myself took a trip out to Richardson Landing in Tipton County to have a picnic on the river. It was flooded and overgrown, and we couldn't make it down to the riverbank to have the picnic, so we plopped down right in the parking lot of the landing and ate.
I also got a video of her panting, and she is so intent on catching every smell in the wind she cannot be stopped, even by the need to breathe!!! I love this dog.

I got my term paper back from Mr. Nichelson.

I know it's sideways,
but I dont know why.
Im sorry.
If you cant read it, it says,

I suggest that you send this to TVA "Community Affairs"
for possible publication in their newsletter.

SO,
I DID!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I haven't heard back from them yet,
but I await their reply nervously.

I've already said this to a few people that I know,
but I'm really surprised at how well I am doing in school.
And very happy.

Hopefully all of this will help me get a good job.

I don't know why,

Im exhausted, and not far out of bed, but I wanted to pull these off the cam and share.

This is at the front desk at National College.

One of the computer labs.

This is the poster board I did for the final project/paper in Med 100.
It was on Rosacea.

And this is the one I did for my Oral Communications class.
It was on "Some Common and not so Common
Easy to Care for House Plants"
long title, huh?

I haven't given my Powerpoint presentation
for my Body Systems class yet.
Term finals are next week too,
so if I don't answer right away cut me some slack!
AND
but there is only a week between this and next term.
SO
busy busy Jenny...

HAPPY INDEPENDANCE DAY!!!

Well, I finally mustered up the drive to cancel the Facebook and Myspace accounts. No one ever talks!!! AND I HATE those apps. I'm tired of keeping up with them. If you don't know where to find me by now, well tough titties.

Im pissed about work right now. They tried to make me work a double today, and I told them at the beginning of the week I couldn't. I had them take half of the day off the schedule TWICE this week, and Morgan just puts it back up there. I have tried to explain why I cant work this morning, and he doesn't care anyways, so I'm not going into it again. I'm just going to try to get out of his way. Hopefully Ill have a job in the end.

I just wanted to share some pics with you before I head out.

here is Yaya watching our new HUGE tv
and a pic of the warped chili pepper out onthe plant

cool huh?

I gotta run. I already have to rush back here tonight to work a shift I told them I couldnt work.
